My post about the Gay Bars symbol made it over to the folks at Foursquare, and one of the designers emailed me to get my opinion on what I didn’t like about it. (“It just seems a little distasteful because it looks like the two male symbols are, well, fucking each other doggystyle?”) It was really nice to see a company reach out to one of their users and ask for an opinion rather than ignore it or react as if it was just a one-off, flippant remark. CONSIDER MY FAITH IN START-UP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT TEMPORARILY RESTORED.
