I realized recently, when asked the question, “What are the top five blogs / websites that you read everyday,” that I don’t actually enjoy reading the internet anymore. Everything that I read it either something for work or something that I assume is designed to piss me off. I’ve been conditioned in the last year or so not to trust the intentions of any author who is writing something intended for online publication (and most print publications, to be honest). So when I started naming websites and blogs I frequent everyday, I thought, “Well, but that’s only to get material to blog about for my job.” There hasn’t been anything that I’ve read online that I legitimately enjoyed breezing through and came away with a feeling pleasant rather than upset or angry.
Having said all of that, I read three books over the weekend.
